Outlook can be a very beneficial tool for you, besides just checking your inbox and calendar. Danielle DavisRoe for Attorney at Work shared a few tips that can help you can get the most out of Outlook.
- Turn off email notifications: It can be very distracting to see an email pop up, and you may feel the need to respond right away. It may be better for you to focus on a specific task for an hour or two and check your email when you are finished.
- Calendar overview in your inbox: Seeing your appointments for the day can help keep you on track. Flipping back and forth from your inbox to your calendar can be a lot when you are able to simply add a daily overview to the inbox. When you are on your inbox view, left-click the calendar icon in the bottom left corner and click “dock the peek.”
- Easily create appointments, tasks, and contacts: You can quickly create new tasks, appointments, or contacts by dragging them onto the tasks, calendar, or people folder. Viola!
Spend less time and energy worrying about your inbox and calendar, and more time doing the important work that you do. You can read more tips in the article from Attorney at Work here.
